Started by teachers in 1998, still run for every child.
- Prodigy was founded in 1998 with 60 children and nine teachers in a rented house. Today 1,600 students learn on a twelve-acre campus with 22,000 books and three fields.1998: from 60 children to 1,600 on a twelve-acre campus.
- Classes stay small, with never more than 30 children, and our teachers stay eleven years on average. They know every family by name, and from Class 9 each student gets a weekly mentor.Classes of 30 at most, and teachers who stay eleven years.

Dear parents,
This June we open our gates to sixty children with one promise: every child will be known by name.
We begin small, in a rented house on Canal Road, with nine teachers who chose us over bigger schools. No class will ever pass thirty.
Each morning I will stand at the gate. Each evening, your child’s teacher will know how the day went, and so will you.
We cannot promise marble floors yet. We can promise patience, honest report cards, and a library that grows every term.

Journey of education at Prodigy Public School
Pre-Primary
Our youngest learn through play, stories and song, in rooms that open onto a garden. Every class of 24 has two teachers.

No homework until Class 2
Evenings belong to families. We send home a story to read together instead.
Primary
Reading, numbers and curiosity. Children learn to write clearly, work in pairs and ask why. A third language starts in Class 3.

A library period every day
Every child borrows two books a week and reads aloud to the class once a term.
Middle
Subjects deepen and the labs open up. Students keep a science notebook, start robotics and choose two clubs each year.

Each term ends with a project students plan, build and present to their parents.
Secondary
Steady preparation for the Class 10 board exams without giving up sport, art or sleep. Every student has a mentor who meets them weekly.

Life in & out of the classroom
Learning doesn’t stop at the last bell. Our students stage a full musical every winter, run the Class 6 vegetable garden, travel with the debating team and build robots in the lunch-hour club. Every child joins at least one club a term, and most come home with stories they will still be telling at thirty.
